Introducing Selinda Barkhuis, Local Gardener

2019 is just around the corner and with that, I want to wrap up 2018 with wishing
prosecutor Mark Nichols the very best of luck with his next term.

In challenging Nichols for the position of prosecutor, I sought to highlight the key role county prosecutors serve in safekeeping our rights and our tax dollars, all as consistent with rule of law.   It’s a tough job, no question about it, and I sincerely wish Mark the very best.

As for me, it has been a tremendous honor to serve the people of Clallam County for fourteen years as a county employee and as an elected official.

But it’s time to move on, and I have decided to take this opportunity to pursue and share my passion for subsistence gardening, which will be the subject of this website going forward.

In closing, I want to express my sincere THANK YOU to the 15,628 Clallam County citizens (41.97%) who voted for me in the 2018 General Election.

See you around the garden!
